About us

Our website address is https://maturisampietro.ch.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, in addition to the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be made available to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. You can find the Gravatar privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile photo will be publicly visible in connection with your comment.

Media

When uploading images to the site, you should avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF-GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract all location data from images on the site.

Cookies

When you leave a comment on our website, you can choose whether your name, e-mail address and website should be stored in cookies. These are used for your convenience, so that you do not have to re-enter your details when you leave another comment. These cookies are valid for one year.

When you visit the registration page, a temporary cookie is created to determine whether your browser allows cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, several cookies are set to record your log-in information and your screen display options. The login cookies are valid for two days, while the display options cookies are valid for one year. If you select “Stay connected”, your connection is retained for a fortnight. When you log out of your account, the connection cookies are deleted.

When you modify or publish an article, an additional cookie is stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data, but only the ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after one day.

Integrated content from other websites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, incorporate additional tracking procedures from third parties and monitor your interaction with them, including tracking your interaction with embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to these sites.

With whom we share your data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset e-mail.

How long we keep your data

When you leave a comment, it and its metadata are saved indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognise and approve subsequent comments, rather than keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (where applicable), we also store the personal data they provide in their user profile. All users can view, change or delete their personal data at any time (with the exception of their user name, which they cannot change). Site administrators may also consult and modify this information.

What are your rights with regard to your data?

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you may request to receive an exported file from the site containing the personal data we hold about you, including the data you have provided to us. You may also ask us to delete all your personal data. This does not apply to data that we need to retain for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Where your data has been sent

Visitors comments may be checked through an automatic spam detection service.
